Citroen Xsara Picasso ignition lights come on when key is out and car locked

Car: Citroen Xsara Picasso
Variant: 1.8 16v
Model Year: 2000
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & Lights
The ignition (and most dashboard) lights come on, even when the car is switched off, key is out and the car is locked. This, of course, flattens the battery.
It happens approx 30-60 seconds after the car is switched off. Nothing else works when this happens i.e. wipers, indicators, electric windows etc
I currently just disconnect the battery when I park, but this is a bit of a pain. Any ideas??

A faulty ignition switch is one of possible causes .

could also be the double relay
