Citroen Xsara Picasso drop links

Car: Citroen Xsara Picasso
Variant: 1997cc
Model Year: 2003
I need drop links for my car but the prices vary on ebay and I wondered whether the cheaper ones are as good as the more expensive ones. I was told that the cheaper ones are plastic, I know I'm not a mechanic and a bit long in the tooth but surely this is a joke and all drop links will be metal. Are the cheaper ones as good as the genuine Citroen drop links or are they inferior. Many thanks for your help.

You can get the drop links from any motor factor in your area , usually a lot cheaper .I have used them many a time on various cars without any problems .You will normally get the same 1 year warranty .

On this subject, I have been told that the noisy suspension is caused by the drop links. What is the cause and is it dangerous. Also, will it be expensive to put right? it will have to be a garage job as age and nowhere to do the work prevents me having a go.
