I did the job about two years ago and it goes as follows;
Remove the glove compartment and the cover over the footwell;
The heater Fan is held in position in the now exposed area by 4 or 5 screws;
It is somewhat tight to extract it but take it gently and you will be able the get it to drop down;
When you have it down disconnect the power supply leas from it;
Remove the Motor from the plastic housing;
you will then be able to see the Resistors and un-solder the old ones out of position;
Solder the replacement units back in position and then do the reverse of the above items to reinstall it in the Car.
I think I may have a document on this somewhere and if I can find same I will upload it.
