Citroen Xsara Picasso heater blower seems to get louder when the car is reving in gear

Car: Citroen Xsara Picasso
Variant: 2.0ndiesel manual
Model Year: 2002
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
This problem was first noticed last week. When you drive the car, as you rev the engine going up through the gears, the blower on the heater seems to become louder. When the car is stationary and not in gear the problem does not seem to exist! There is no lack of power but it does seem very strange!
