Car feels as though it is misfirng which i know is not possible as it is a diesel, intermittent problem when driving car surges and there is no set pattern to this, fuel pump was changed in november and it had an oil flush 2 weeks ago.

Ideally needs to go on a computor to see if any faults listed, could be a number of things but would be inclined to think it is fuel related.

Thanks rizzo, it has been on the computer and it is not finding anything, it has been ongoing since about july last year and the garage are stumped, fuel pump was changed in november and just had an oil flush about 2 weeks ago, it can go days without doing it and other times it does it maybe 4 or 5 times.

Has an injector leak off test been carried out? if showing no faults it could be the airflow meter as these can malfunction with out showing fault codes

Does your vehicle have a particulate filter? if so you may be experiencing regeneration of the filter.just a thought.
