Recently a warning has started to flash on the dashboard saying overspead inactive warning.
any advice and help would be very much appreciated

You can cycle through the dash settings (radio, mpg etc) with the button on the end of the left wiper stalk. Just set it to something else.
Don't know how to set an overspeed warning.
