Citroen Xantia a number of electrical problems

1. with lights on, the engine continued to run after the ignition key was turned off. turning the lights off as well then cut the engine.

2. with the lights on, the brake lights are on as well.

3. on one occassion, running in day light, turning the lights on resulted in losing engine power. turning the lights off and the power returned.

4 when the lights are off all the above problems don't happen

You need either the dealer or someone with top level diagnostcs as you need a Global test done on the electricals,I'd suspect a fault with the body system interface (BSI),pretty common,try "bba reman" website for additional .
