Citroen Saxo noisy when steerin and changin gears

Car: Citroen Saxo
Model Year: 2001
Categories: Steering, Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres
My car makes clangin type noise when changin gears and turnin the wheel sharply to the left or right, and also the steering sometimes feels 'not right', like the wheel is going to lock or it feels like the car is going to skid when Im driving. Also the wheel appears to be very stiff when tryin to park etc. I have'nt got power steering, so not sure what it could be. Feel reluctant to take to garage as I always seem to get ripped off. Any help or advice would be totally appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you.
