Citroen Saxo indicator lights work intermittently

Car: Citroen Saxo
Variant: 1.1 Manual
Model Year: 2000
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
I turn the ignition and the indicators don't work, then after a minute or so they start to work ok. Also the airbag light keeps flashing. I know it's not the fuse as the indicators/hazard lights do eventually come on. Any help would be much appreciated.

I'm pretty sure this can be sorted by replacing the hazard lights switch. Most cars need the radio taking out to do this, so would probably be best to take it to a garage.

do the hazards do the same as they are linked via the same relay im sure but dont try to remove the switch by your self as you will set of the airbag as the steering wheel needs to be removed so take it to the garage an let them do it after all it might even be a wire that isnt making a very good connection hense the dely

Usually on saxo's the indicator stalk is at fault

i have more or less the same problem with my saxo, except the indicators/hazards very rarely work, should i try the same solution and get the hazard button replaced?
