Citroen Saxo abs warning lights on the dash

Car: Citroen Saxo
Variant: sx
Model Year: 2000
Categories: Steering, Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres
hi, ive had this car for about 6 months now and its coming up for its MOT, ive been informed the ABS warning lights are a failiure.

When I purchased the car I noticed from the previous MOT that it had 2 new front brake discs and set of pads fitted.

I took the car into a local garage a couple of days ago to try and get it diagonsed, he plugged in his computer and for some reason couldnt read the ABS ECU, he could scan engine and airbags etc for faults but not the ABS, this leads me to think it maybe a fault with the ABS ECU rather than a sensor, does anyone know where this ECU is located ? I believe its attached to the ABS pump but also need to know where this is ?

Ive found the normal ECU in the engine compartment, and the airbag one under the carpet but not the ABS one.

Any help would be greatly appriciated.

Would be worthwhile checking ABS sensors / wiring first .

check simple things first like fuses etc
