Citroen Evasion vibration

Car: Citroen Evasion
Variant: 2.1TD
Model Year: 1989
Categories: Steering, Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres
Vibration in car, thought to originate in front end at speeds between 40k and 80k, but worse at 70k. It is not a wheel balance shake through the steering wheel but a whole car shimmy/shake. New tyres fitted and all wheels checked and balanced, new antiroll bar rubbers fitted, all suspension joints checked and OK. It is suggested that there is a problem in "the transmission" which I assume means the drive shafts and diff bearing?
Can anyone suggest anything please?

sounds like a very slightly bent drive shaft. If it`s the diff, i think it would be noisey
