Could be faulty screen but worth checking battery condition and alternator charging rate as low battery can often cause umpteen problems with electrics

On some it was a common problem and cured with a software update

Not sure how I would do that?? 🤦♀️ sorry

Any software updates are usually carried out when car serviced at dealership but with your year and uncertainty if it would fix it . not to mention expense , really cant say if worth chancing it . You could try here where they probably know more on the problem than I and may have a better solution , sorry cant be of more help https://www.ds4ownersclub.co.uk/

Ok so I have updated maps etc and the problem is still happening, I don’t understand why it come on first thing and then not again all day 🤷♀️

It was more of a possible system firmware /software update to rectify any known glitches as opposed to a map update I meant . Still worth getting battery condition and alternator charging rate load tested in case a drain running down battery power and power taken on startup finishes it off .Only a 5 mim test that many garages or accessory shops will do as you wait and F.O.C .
But on checking our archives , remembered this .The solution often is to make sure that the DAB is not tuned to a BBC station. You need to go into audio settings and turn off the DAB/Analogue switching option if you want to listen to a BBC radio station on Analogue, otherwise it auto selects the DAB station and it starts crashing again.
Next step is to overwrite all the BBC DAB slots in presets so this can’t happen again until a fix is provided.
With just the radio tuned to FM stations and the auto switching between FM and DAB turned off.
