Hate to say it but you may have bought a pig in a poke , sold with known faults . You need to get it checked out and scanned for fault codes , hopefully nothing major .

Yes I am waiting for a garage to book me in for a full scan , but everything closed for Christmas so it’s annoying to put it mildly, appreciate your response
