Citroen C8 clutch master cylinder

Car: Citroen C8
Variant: 2.2hdi
Model Year: 2003

Problem: clutch master cylinder needs to be replaced.. My question is how do remove the the cylinder it is not bolted on the gearbox and it seems that it is locked in place either by turning it left or right? Can anybody advise me on the removal of this cylinder?

Clutch master isn't on the box,
That would be the slave cylinder so I'd suggest you check exactly what component has actually failed before pulling anything off.
Easy done.
pull back the rubber boot on the slave and see if there's any fluid under the boot.

Remove the pin for the pushrod at the pedal then disconnect the two pipes and twist about 45 degrees to unlock the master cylinder from the bulk head.i cant remember whether its clockwise or anti clockwise.Its been a while since I last changed one but I have a feeling its clockwise out and anti clockwise back in
