Citroen C5 not tstarting

Car: Citroen C5
Variant: 2.0 exclusive
Model Year: 2002
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
Hi there!

I have a problem as to where the engine was running fine, but now it won't start!

It starts for a brief second and then cuts out! The engine revs up when i spray carb cleaner into the throttle body but dies after!
So having said that it would seem to be a lack of fuel delivery!

Upon the engine failing, 2 different fault messages have come up on the on board computer! The first was that the anti pollution system was faulty! That has since changed to Esp / Asr system faulty!

Would problems like these on a citroen automatically cut off thee fuel supply??

If not then any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!

no. ESP or ASR or any of the safety features wont cut off the fuel supply. i suspect a blown fuse. but see if you can pull an ignition coil out, stick a plug in the end and turn it over... see if you got a spark... if you have then then you could rule out immobilizer fault. i would start by checking ALL fuses and relays and if accesible check to see if fuel pump works!!
