Citroen C5 wiper fault

Car: Citroen C5
Variant: 2.0 diesel Exclusive
Model Year: 2008
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & Lights
Passenger wiper parks in upright position, only drivers wiper is working, the fact that wipers do move suggests the motor is okay but that there is an electrical fault that controls the movement and timing. Is this a wiper relay or a BSI unit.

Not the wiper arm loose on spindle and need tightening ?

im sure the relay is incorporated into the bsi but could be wrong. possibility of bsi being shot

its probably the motor itself.

I turned off my engine, both wiper arms went to vertical position. When I started car, the drivers arm returned to rest. Passenger arm remained vertical and no longer moves. If I flip the contours arm up and down, the nearside drops in stages. When I turn off the engine and restart the nearside goes back vertical and stays. The drivers one seems to work as normal. Any clues please.
