driving along the otherday and the airbag light suddenly appeared on , i have a 2004 citron c5 with 53000 on the clock the service history is good , and im a bit concernd as to why its appeared for no reason . the car has had no previous accidents (as i checked before purchasing the vehicle ) so its got me thinking as to why that it has suddnly appeared on . any ideas as to why ?

Could check the connectors under the carpet at the bulkhead in the footwell on the passenger side. If not that you will probably need to get fault codes read .

The airbag system does a power on self test so if there are no faults the airbag light goes out, if there is a fault then the light stays on. Check the connectors under the front seats these are under a plastic plate that has a push fit fastner holding it to the floor. Before you disturb/disconnect the connectors, disconnect the battery for aprox 20min.
