Citroen C5 kangarooing when decelerating,

Car: Citroen C5
Variant: 2.0 hdi
Model Year: 2004
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & Lights
i have just recently had a new clutch and fly wheel replacement and i am sure my battrey was disconnected during the replacement process. It has just started to kangaroo when decelerating especially around 70mph.I have since put new air filter on but has made no differance.Could it be that the battery was disconnected and altered the engine management?or should i just change plugs,ht leads etc in the process of elimination in order to cure the problem.
I have noticed when the kangarooing is occuring that there is quite a bit of smoke from the exhaust.
