Citroen C4 se i auto box with electric clutch won't come out of first gear preventing engine starting

esc light and hill start light are on dashboard. Went into economy mode but will not start as indicator says neutral but the car is in gear. How can I get it into neutral to start engine and get it to garage.

Have you checked the car battery voltage or tried a jump start ? A low battery can cause all sorts of similar problems ( assuming the car engine is not turning over )
