Citroen C3 c3 sl 2004 jumps into snow mode

Dont know about a breakdown, probably will but can be expensive to fix this type of fault especially with a 20 yr old car

It's really impossible to say without knowing the actual fault that is causing the problem . You would need to get it scanned with suitable equipment that covers all modules , transmission to retrieve the fault codes and take it from there . It's also possible it could only be a faulty sensor / wiring which would be a relatively minor job . Hopefully the latter
