Citroen C3 eco mode - gearbox faulty

2006 Citroen C3 automatic, 65k miles done. After few miles and especially when stopped at signal, ECO mode flashes on the dashboard with 'gearbox faulty' warning. Car goes to neutral with ' --' symbol. Cannot start or move the car. So before leaving my home I turn off start stop but still it happens. Any advise please.
