Citroen C2 car not starting

Car: Citroen C2
Variant: GT
Model Year: 2004
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
The car starts fine when not used for a few hours or overnight etc, but won't re-start once it has been used even if it's a short amount of time?

It has just come out of the garage where they said they couldn't find the problem and have just cleaned up the engine. The only thing that happens when the key is turned is a very quiet clicking noise within the engine.

The power all seems to be fine and the battery has been checked as well as the immobilizer system and key battery's changed.

Would appreciate any help!

Cheers

it could be a problem with the underbonnet fuse box. The other thing it could be is the starter itself but i would imagine the garage covered this.

Is there any free play in the ignition switch, which would indicate a problem with it.

The clicking noise may be the starter solenoid .As suggested may need new starter or at least check all connections .

You could also check the condition of the main lead to the starter in case it,s worn or producing a high resistance.
