Citroen C1 both headlights not working

Car: Citroen C1
Variant: 1.2
Model Year: 2015
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & Lights
Hi there,
Both of my headlights have stopped working, every other light works except main headlights which have both stopped working at the same time. I have tested all the fuses on both fuse boards(with a multimeter and visually), the relay and replaced the bulbs, I know it's not the stalk lever as when I flip it to Auto, my interior lighting still dims when it's dark so I would also like to think the daylight sensor is good, nothing happens with the manual override (as expected) so I'm at a loss for the time being.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Does the blue high beam indicator work on the instrument panel , do they work when you use stalk to flash ?

Yes they do buddy, this is why my brains hurting, everything is working as it should be apart from headlights

You would think it HAS to be the stalk ?

Another thought . You could unhook a battery terminal for a few minutes and then reconnect . This sometimes reboots certain modules / systems and clears weird faults . BUT sometimes can cause other faults also ny doing so .

I honestly don't think it's the stalk just due to the dimming when switching to Auto, it dims all the internals intentionally to reduce the light during night driving which also suggest the light sensor is working, I already tried disconnecting the battery for maybe 30 seconds and no joy, I feel like the issue is somewhere after the stalk. A friend mentioned to me today that it could possibly a bad earthing? I'm going to try the multimeter tonight on the 2 pin plug connecters that go onto the back of the light bulb but I would assume it's pretty obvious that I won't get continuity. Any ideas how I would check the earth further back? I'm not a car guy, everything I've checked I literally learnt on Saturday from the internet lol.

Thanks

Switching on just the side lights automatically dims the panel lights etc . on most if not all cars . If it was an earthing / ground fault you would think the head lights would operate but be dim as is usually the case .

Ahh right, thank you for the explanation, the dimming in my car doesn't happen until I put the Auto on, or not that I've noticed but I will double check that after work, I'll check the headlight plugs once I'm home and I'll come back here and report my findings. Thank you for the advise so far. Appreciated.
