So many different possible causes , needs checking and scanned for fault codes to get to what has caused the failure

Clearly if a manual car if its been slipping , its the clutch , if suddenly then its the thrust bearing , if gearbox has to come out then replace with a 3 piece clutch kit , include clutch plate , pressure plate and thrust bearing , (some call it a release bearing )
