Citroen Berlingo vacuum leak causes poor running and no brake servo

Car: Citroen Berlingo
Variant: Multispace 1.7 Petrol
Model Year: 1999
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
I came back from 3 weeks holiday and started my Berlingo! Or tried to. Backfiring and spluttering, eventually it started to run but would not tick over and would not run at less than 2,000 rpm if I wanted to avoid stalling!
Then I found that the brakes were not functioning properly, so I suspect a vacuum leak. Any weak points or advice on where top look would be appreciated.
Thanks

Check vacuum pipe / hose / any in line valves for leaks and if not that , servo itself .If vacuum leak , usually can hear where it's leaking from . A vacuum leak would cause engine to draw too much air probably causing erratic running .
