Citroen Berlingo cold start

Car: Citroen Berlingo
Model Year: 2004
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
hi i have a problem with cold starting my van.
I have changed the fuel filters and the glow plugs but it still has the cold start issue it takes about 5 mins to get to start but once it has started there is no problem

Are all the glow plugs getting power ?

if it is a non turbo engine as long as glowplugs are ok and getting a supply you may be getting air in fuel system somehow. another problem could be due to inlet valve clearances.

All the the glow plugs have power i was wondering weather it could be the preheating system control unit

Possibly control unit if it,s not heating glow plugs to correct value or time period .

If you are using a test lamp to check for power then you can use it to check to see when control unit shuts off.

If it is the 1.9 diesel engine try getting the air out of the fuel line the pump is located top front of engine, you have to take the top cowling off to see the plunger
