Leaks & Noises
hi ya,
have a G reg citreon, dont use it that much, once a week or so.
tried to use it this evening, and nearside rear wheel wouldn't turn.
when reversing the car would go up & wheel would drag along the road when going forward. only went a few metres.
had a look online and seems that problem with handbrake sticking or a psiton problem.
im not really mechanically minded but a friend said to get it on the road (at the moment car on a gravel side road) and stick it in netural or reverse and let it down a hill. dont really want to make the car even worse, any other ideas?
appreciate any help,
cheers!

Should ask your friend how you get it to road and how it will go down hill with a seized brake .Either the h/brake cable is seized or the brake shoes are stuck on that side .( assuming that year has b/shoes and not pads on rear ).You will have to get under car and , with h/brake off ,either pull h/brake cable to release it (if stuck ) or bang back plate to release sticking shoes .You must block wheels to stop car from rolling over you when brake releases .

bang the back wheels it normally works, or if you can get it on road just drive a few feet dragging back wheels and they will free off, i wouldnt bother usin hand brake if its parked up any length of time leave it in gear or use a brick
