Chevrolet Tacuma brake pedal travel

Car: Chevrolet Tacuma
Model Year: 2006
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
car has has a lot of brake pedal travel i have cleaned and adjusted rear brakes all wheel cylanders are free and have no leeks and have fitted new front pads as well but does not seem to be a great deal better

if you drive it and brake at the same time as accelerating you have a full pedal but as soon as you drop the revs it goes.
all vacum pipes are intact and there is no fluid loss or sighnes of leeks any where on the car
i am thinking servo but if anybody has had this problem and could confirm or has any idea it would be great before i go to the exspense of replacing

Test the servo by starting the engine, rev it up for a bit and switch off,now pump the pedal as hard as usual and then keep pressure on it,now, without removing your foot start the engine,if the servo is ok the brake pedal will dip down under your foot,no pedal movement means servo or vaccum supply is at fault.
If it's still the same then clamp off each individual brake flexi hose, one at at time and retest,if after ALL hoses are clamped off the pedal is still loose then it's the master.
if after all the hoses hav e been clamped the pedal is good then the master is good and the fault is in the brakes, this could be a flexi hose swelling up under pressure,a partialy siezed calliper or a warped disk, use the clamps to isolate which wheel is responsable
