BMW 3 Series noise when clutch is pressed

Car: BMW 3 Series
Variant: 318 se
Model Year: 1999
Categories: Leaks & Noises
Hi, whilst driving around I've noticed that once the car has become warm I start getting a creaking / squealing noise when I change gears up or down. on inspection at the garage, he says it nothing to worry about, something about plastic rubbing on plastic in an area that's difficult to reach but I can't remember what the rod is called. but I'm getting concerned and wanted a second opinion. from what I've researched it sounds quite a common problem, but how bad can it actually get.

Thanks

Possibly clutch arm bushing ? or clutch pedal bushing? Sometimes a squirt of WD40 works wonders .As long as it's not clutch bearing ? if it gets worse get another opinion .

Hi Thank you Legend for your answer. sorry I did not explain right the first time. the gear changing is ok, what I meant to say was the Clutch pedal makes noise when pressed once the car gets warm. it could be the same solution but I thought I'd clear it up so there's no confusion.

And please explain bushing a little please.
Thanks Again.
