Audi 80 steering

When I am driving slow and stopped, if I turn the steering wheel from left to right there is a knocking sound coming from somewhere in the front any ideas?

Check all steering joints and suspension

Another thing to check is to make sure power steering pipes are not hitting anything

Check top susp strut mountings .

Also check front coil springs .

Quite prone to balljoint,s on the front arm,s knocking and lower void bushes can wear causing a noise.
