The Differential Input Seal is part of the car gearbox and drivetrain system. We have 2 associated problem symptoms connected to it.
Oil appears to be leaking near the back of the car in the centre, on inspection it looks like it's coming from the part that meets the drive shaft. This is a problem with rear wheel drive cars.
When the car is in gear and driving along there's a screeching and/or a creaking metallic sound coming from under the centre of the car. The sound will change and get worse as the car moves and accelerates.
