Job was well done, service was friendly, job took about 1 hour. All was well.

...then he hit me with the bill. Parts £12, Labour £45 (an hour!)

£45 an hour, based on a 40 hour week and working 50 weeks/yr, equates to 90 grand a year! That's doctor or lawyer money. I just wanted the cigarette lighter replaced.

There's much more work that I plan on getting done to the vehicle, but at that price I'll be taking it elsewhere.
