A local firm who have established themselfs with a excellent reputation in the Aberystwyth area. Went down to the New Glanyrafon garage to get 4 tyres and wheel alignement on my Rover and was very impressed with the device and knowledge on show. 5*

I've used huw Lewis on three occasions and can't find any fault with them. Two visits were for basic things (tyre repair and battery) but I've got no complaints! I also used them for my MOT and my HDi failed the emissions test. I thought they would begin to tell me I needed a new back box and cat etc but they told me it was a narrow fail so they would put a fuel additive in and would test it again for free after I gave it a weekend blast. True to their word it was free and passed the retest. Also they only gave me a couple of advisories when another mainstream garage would have started racking the bill up. A good set of lads all round, very professional and out to build a business through a reliable customer base!

Took my car to Huw Lewis Tyres Aberystwyth as my brakes went and needed somewhere local. I strongly believe they saw a young woman with no car knowledge and decided to exaggerate issues to make more money. They strongly implied that if I didn't have a series of other things fixed my car would be unsafe and that they wouldn't be happy 'letting' me take it off the forecourt. Several other mechanics have since independently disputed many of their claims, the best being that my wheel bearings had gone (they hadn't).

The staff are polite, that is all the good I can say. Only go here if you want tyres or know more about cars than a lay-person.
