Robbings Motors

I've been back to Robbings Motors time and time again and have always found then to be reliable and trustworthy. I understand that this is a small family business which has been operating for around 20 years. I have no hesitation in recommending this company to my friends and colleagues.

Rip off and rude staff.
Just got full service done for one of my car. When I called them to book an appointment I was told it would cost £170 for the service but there may be other charges for spark plugs on top. I was OK with that. But when I dropped my car yesterday I got a call later on and was told, everything is OK but the car needs more work so it will cost £235, I was reluctant, but thought let's just get it done. Now when I picked up my car today I was given the bill for £250. When I said I was given a quote for £235 I was very rudely told, that particlaur staff is not available and we can't contact him. I am bit surprised that in this age of world they could not contact him on mobile just to confirm it. Staff did not even bother asking anybody else to confirm. She just looked at me and told me to pay this bill. I paid the bill and told her that I have other two cars and had thought I would come back for service for those but after this experience I will not. On that note she just said "it's up to you then". So in nut shell not only they rip you off they are also rude to the customer. I could have got the full service done from VW itself for £300 rather than going to them. Please avoid them at any cost.
