AVOID !!!! I purchased a car from Wilsons Car Sales 2 weeks ago from an advert I saw online, the car was a part exchange, I test drove the car and everything seemed fine, I paid for it and was told there was no warranty as it was a part exchange and was told there was nothing wrong with it, I was fine with this, I was then handed the receipt and the lady wrote on it spares or repair, she said don't worry it's common practice for a part exchange and was just there to cover them, this should have rang alarm bells but I trusted them and I had already paid by then, after I drove the car I noticed that the windscreen washer wasn't working and since I have had the car it hasn't started 4 times and I had to get someone to help me jump start it, the last time I called the RAC out and they said the starter motor had gone. I have had to get repairs done today for a new washer pump and a starter motor costing me £231 from a local garage I always use, I rang up Wilsons and said they had sold me a car knowing full well that there was something wrong with it and I was told basically sold as seen, no apology or anything, they knew the car had issues and sold it to me without saying anything and then putting spares or repairs on receipt AFTER I had paid they knew exactly what they were doing, if they had offered a good will gesture of say, £100 towards my repair costs then it wouldn't have been so bad but they didn't want to know, it is a family business run by a husband and wife team and I fully trusted them as they seemed honest and was friendly and chatty, just proves you can't trust anyone nowadays, really disappointed as I don't have money to throw away like this, I feel really let down and feel they have took advantage of me as nowhere in their advert did it say spares or repair, it was sold as a fully working car
