Lawries garage always have time to book you in but on the day they are always 'running late', or at least every time I've been in. A couple of weeks ago I waited 8 and a half hours for my car to be serviced! Job carried out to a high standard though.

Just bought a VW Passat from Lawries and as a first time experience, it was excellent. Despite the salesman being new (steve), he was very professional, knowledgeable and NOT pushy. I drove down from Stirling and the car and paperwork were all waiting for me - very simple and easy. Would definately recommend for service with a smile.

Would never go there again, asked for a estimate and was told they would have to look at car then give a quote wasn't happy with the quote so decided not to go ahead. They then charged me £260 for giving a quote! Which was dearer than the job needing done! I complained that I was not advised of the cost just for a quote and the reduced it to £96. They also said they washed and hoovered the car for nothing well £96 was the dearest wash my cars had! And that wasn't that good! Never ever again be warned!

Bought a used VW Golf from here 2 days ago, dealt with Archie and from the very begining and he's been the most helpful person I have ever dealt with. And I have bought 6 cars in the past and never have I once come across a saleman providing such service. I felt confident enough to pay a deposit over the phone & drove up 480 miles from London to collect it & pay the remaining balance. They even throwed in some free car mats, and fuel along with doing a good deal on 12 months warranty. All the staff here are also very friendly, cant recommend this garage enough, will def be back here in years to come once I need an upgrade! thanks Rem
