I booked my Hyundai Terracan in for a full 48 months/ 40K mile service. The arrangement was that they would collect the car from my place of work, which they did promptly at 08:45. Excellent we’re off to a good start. I received a call to say the car was ready and would be returned to my place of work following payment, which I made immediately. Upon inspecting car there were a few items’ that they had missed / forgotten to do, firstly they had failed to stamp the service book plus the technician had failed to sign the service book. I called them and requested that they send someone out to fill in the service book, which they promptly did, but the person they sent was not the technician and so could not sign the book. The book was sent back to the garage to have the technician fill in all of the required documentation, stamp and sign the book.

I was also surprised to see that the tyres had been blacked using tyre black, which was fine but it would have been better if they had blackened all four tyres and not just three. I don’t understand why they do this as it as no benefit to the condition of the rubber, and only adds to the aesthetical appearance of the vehicle but adds no value. If they can miss one wheel and fail to fill in all of the documentation I worry what other items they could have failed to do that could have serious consequences to the vehicle and the occupants within.
