Stratstone

Stratstone is great if you are looking to buy a car. Very professional image and nothing too much trouble. However, the promised delivery date for our new Range Rover Sport came and went. We ended up having to accept a slightly different model, with one or two changes to the spec, but same price. The car is a great drive. It's now 3 years old and only one thing puts us off replacing it with another one. The Service side. Or lack of it. Totally different attitude. Extremely expensive replacements parts. Never ready for collection on the day it goes in. Two weeks ago we made enquiries at our local Stratstone dealership which in Slough (Wooburn Green one has closed) and we got great help and felt very positive about it. This week, the battery on our existing car has gone flat several times. We had to wait a few days for them to be able to look at the problem. We took it in the day before and asked for it to be looked at first thing in the morning, stressing we needed the car back for the weekend as we were going away (Mothers Day treat). We rang them several times this afternoon and no-one was available to take our calls and no-one rang us back. The receptionist was clearly embarrassed that she couldn't get anyone to speak to us about our car. 10 minutes before they closed a guy eventually came to the phone and told us everyone had gone home and they couldn't find the fault on it so nothing had been done. Result: no weekend trip and no new car from Stratstone.
