I live locally and have been using Southcombe garage for 5 years. I have always found them to be exceptionally helpful and accommodating, their prices are fair, and they are prepared to discuss issues in detail with customers when it comes to repairs.

You'll struggle to find anywhere better in the area.

Southcombe Garage is the tops! I have been using them for every service/repair for over 10 years now and Ben, Stuart and the whole team have been unfailingly professional and friendly and very very fair in pricing. When my car comes back I can feel that it has been serviced unlike at some main dealers where you're not even sure they've done half of what they say. They are also very fair in telling you what needs to be done and what can be left a while longer. I have owned some older and unreliable cars during this time and Southcombe have always done their very best to repair and return them quickly even when brought in by breakdown at the last minute. I couldn't recommend them more highly and wouldn't take my car anywhere else - thanks guys you're fab!!!

I don't generally leave feed back, but having read a negative review i see it my duty to put the facts straight. I have used Southcombe Garage for many years and have seen the business grow and develope.
This Garage has higher standards than a franchised dealer,yet at greatly reduced prices. Their cars are prepared and shown as if they have justed rolled off the production line, yet at a fraction of the price.
Ben and his staff are always welcoming and friendly and don't just see me as a cash machine.

Southcombe Garage has always provided me with excellent attention to my fleet of vehicles. Many were supplied by them, but they maintain all my vehicles with an attention to detail rarely found these days. A modern garage with good old fashioned service! I have indeed recommended them to many friends, who have since driven some distance to find a really good variety of used vehicles at prices top suit most budgets. I have always been impressed by Ben, Nick and his team, and rarely fill out on line reviews, but thought I would make an exception with Southcombe Garage of Chipping Norton. Well done to the whole team !

I can only say these guys are top of there game,needed service and mot done quickley sorted straight away at good price made sure they kept me up to date.They had a courtesy car their for me it was cleaned ready to go.I would recommened to any one who want's good srvice.

My name is Ben and I own this garage. My father started this garage over 40 years ago and I have worked with him for over 20 years and bought it from him 5 years ago. We that is me and my staff pride ourselves on getting things right and try to maintain customer satisfaction. In the cases below this has not been acheived. There is always two sides to every complaint and I do not want to start any tit for tat arguement. I have always tried to sort these issues out before they get to these stages but in these cases no middle ground could be found. We do offer a great service with vehicle collection, delivery, courtesy cars, friendly staff, main dealer level diagnostic equipment, mots, main dealer level servicing and many more great services. I hope you can look at the good feed back as well as the bad.

I can only sing these guys praise, When ever i take my vehicle in I could not get a better service anywhere. The staff are always so friendly and they even take the time to remember me and my car. I was unfortunate enough to be in the reception when a previous reviewer before was arguing his case. He said that the car was damaged when it came in but the garage had repaired it for him free of charge of which he agreed to the repair. He also said it was running badly when it came out the technician who carried out the repair said that it was the same as it came in and the fuel leak that he repaired had nothing to do with the running issue. I think if people do not get there own way they come out and complain. The situation was handled fantastically and profionaly. I hope these comments do not effect your decision because they are a fantastic well equipped garage.

I have been dealing with Southcombe Garage for many years for all my servicing and mechanical issues they have been nothing but helpful, even if I have not made an appointment. I, recently, wanted to change my vehicle, and again they were helpful in finding exactly what I wanted, keeping me informed as to when I could collect it. In my opinion Southcombe has everything you could possibly ask for under one roof, lets face it, its not often you find honesty when dealing with the motor trade. What more could you ask for

We all know the stereotype of a typical used car salesman but hope that we won't run across the type when buying a used car ourselves. Sadly, at Southcombe Garage I found exactly that...

I had arranged to visit the garage on a Sunday to test drive a car I was very interested in. As the manager was not there on a Sunday he told me that I could give him a call after the test drive to have a chat, which is what I did. I told him that I was very interested but asked what he could do on the price. He told me that he would call me first thing the following morning to discuss it and that I would definitely have first option on the car and that it wouldn't be sold to anyone else in the meantime.

Come lunchtime on Monday and still no call, I ended up having to call him. "Oh," he said, "I didn't have your number and I sold it to someone else"

A complete and utter lie as I had clearly seen my phone number written on the paperwork that his assistant had on the Sunday. Clearly, he just wanted to take more money despite having made assurances that he would call me and offer first option. I would have paid the asking price had he called me as promised and said that he couldn't do anything with the price. But I never had the chance...

So... clearly, these are NOT people to be trusted and if you can't trust them with something simple like a promised phone call, do you really think they're going to be honest in other aspects of their business? I think not...

Avoid these cowboys!

Southcombe Garage price their services reasonably. I have had my car regularly serviced by them for 5 years. They lend me a courtesy car for my work while this is done. The staff are welcoming and will do their best to assist. I would recommend this garage to anyone who wants to have their car maintained by knowledgeable staff at reasonable cost. You will not be disappointed.

I recently took my Peugeot 307 to Southcombe to have the fuel pump reconditioned. Apart from a small leak the car was running fine. After spending almost £600 (including a new aux belt) the car now runs really rough. They basically washed their hands of it, denying that it was anything to do with them. On top of that there was a huge scratch on the boot that wasn't there before. They also forgot to fit the engine undershield and the engine top cover. I have used Southcombe a lot over the last few years, but have noticed a gradual decrease in attitude and quality of work. Would I use them again? Not on your life. I think that they are a disgrace.

I have used Southcombe for some years now and have found it a very good small garage. Excellent value, especially on supply and fitting tyres. Cheerful, helpful staff who seem to know what they are doing.
