It's my fault, I know - should have said that they don't need to use 'genuine' Volvo parts - just been charged £700 for an oil change and new brake pads.
Might as well have used the main dealer!

Unfortunately we were not given a quote of the price for a service and MOT. The car failed the MOT due to a worn tyre, so I expected an extra £100 ontop of the service charge. I had not asked to have anything more than an MOT and simple service, particularly as I now know that the mechanics are paid £70 per hour before tax. When the bill came through at nearly £900 I was truely shocked. I had definately not asked to have screen wash, sump washer, pollen filters, fuel filter or anything else changed or added without being first asked and told how much it would cost. The loan car had to be returned before my car was ready and I was left feeling extremely disappointed.

I changed the rear brakes on my Volvo myself and afterwards there was some warning lights on the dashboard. R&R did diagnostics and told me that I had ruined the whole braking system by interfering with it. The said that I needed all new rear brakes and a new ABS unit totalling about £2500.
I took the car to my local garage and they connected their machine to it and within 10 minutes and a charge of £10 the whole issue was resolved. I have done about 10,000 miles since then and still no problems.

Great garage, and always helpful no matter what the car

When my XC60 alternator belt snapped, I phoned R&R motors on the advice of the Volvo franchise, who were unable to fix the car for 5 days. R&R sensibly advised not to drive the car in case the broken belt flicked up and jammed the cambelt. The RAC took the car to RR motors. It was repaired by the next day at a very reasonable cost. Excellent!

Had a problem with my volvo v40 which after 5 months of various mechanics scratching their heads I came across R&R.
The owner Roger diagnosed the problem within 2 minutes of listening to the car and gave me a quote within the hour, after waiting a week for the part to come from Sweden it was fitted very quickly.
picked the car up today and very happy with the service. Roger was patient and a real gentleman and labour costs i found were very reasonable. I will definitely be using R&R again. If you have a volvo use these guys, fantastic warm and honest service. Thanks guys.
