Birrell Mot & Service Centre

Don't bother you'll end up paying for things you never authorised for and when going with a problem them doing the work with out phoning or arranging to do the work I went in with one pad worn to metal and the other side fine which were done by birrels with in the warranty period to be told he will take apart to see where the fault was and give me a ring to let me know, I phoned 6 hours after dropping the car off for an update as there was no communications, to be told he's putting it back together and it wasn't what i had gone In with! I didn't want them to do the work.. go somewhere else where they communicate with you!

I had the misfortune of car troubles while visiting, from Canada, Inverness in September 2015. I had the good fortune of having John Birreill recommended as a dependable mechanic. He runs a great business and is a prince of a guy. His concern was that my troubles not affect my enjoyment of Inverness. Because of him, it didn't. A huge thanks, John.

Been using John's garage for 4years or so and will never go anywhere else! He's always honest and explains exactly what is wrong with the car and how they're going to fix it unlike other garages who just take your money!

great garage gtreat prices, always recomend this place. use him for mot's and for advice or repairs were needed and he's alway happy to help. and unlike some garages at birrells i know am only going to get charged for what actually needs done and no extras that dont need done...

We have used various Garages and service centres in and around Inverness for our 2 older cars & Birrells MOT Centre have been the most professional, honest and dedicated. Very much feel you are benefiting from an experienced, practical & mechanically minded team. We have been kept informed exactly what is happening & why. First Class Service.

Had our car into Johns a few times now,Always very happy with the service. Trys to keep the bills down and has always got the work done quickly.Would recommend to anyone. Wouldnt take the car anywhere else now.

I own a Chrysler which is not the easiest car to maintain. Before buying it John was good enough to check over it for me at very reasonabe cost so that I was confident in what I was buying. I will continue to use him for MOTs as further to others comments, he is fair and very reasonable. I will walk away happy that he has only done the work needed

Been going to Johns garage since Autosales days, I've always found him to be honest and fair. It can't be easy on modern cars nowadays, I had a fault the Renault garage couldn't find/fix while it was in warranty, Johns lad, Steve had it sorted in an hour! Always takes time to explain repair too, so fairs fair.

I personally have always found John and his staff to be very willing to explain how costs arise and why certain bit's need replaced. It's maybe not all written in detail but I've always been confident of the job has been properly done at a good price.

John is a decent bloke, but I no longer use this garage because johns misdiagnosis of my problem ended up costing me £££'s on parts which I did not require/didn't fix the fault. The billing wasn't transparent either- I had no idea how many hours I was being charged for and at what rate. Their diagnosis skills and bill transparency needs improving.

John Birrell gives great service and honest advice - this is why I come back here year after year.
This garage is always busy and I cannot recommend it highly enough.

I'm new to Inverness and asked at Raigmore hospital where I work, for a recommendation of a garage who I could trust. I was intrigued that John Birrell's garage on the far side of the city was named again and again. There must be a more convenient place to get an Mot, but I gave him a try, and now I now I know why, nice guy and excellent value!!!

Went to this garage on the recommendation of a work colleague. What a great guy! He knows his Volvos inside out, all fixed at almost half the cost quoted by AC!!! This is what a garage should be like, somewhere you can trust not to take advantage and fit parts that aren't needed. Well done!!!

Very helpful, kept well informed of costs of engine repair throughout, came out quite a bit less than the estimate! Been using one of their high profile competitors round the corner until now, but this garage knows its stuff and I won't hesitate to go back! I'll recommend John and his staff to any one who will listen, it's nice to find a garage who don't treat women as ignorant of anything mechanical, all the parts were shown to me when the repair was finished and explained why they failed.Well done!!!!

This is a great place prices are great they even fixed a problem for free

I found that this garage are very helpful and friendly, they do their absolute best to keep costs down and are willing to get you sorted out at a moments notice if they can. I would recommend this garage to anyone and wouldnt go anywhere els.
