Wheels Mot Centre

My car was very poorly but Wheels nurtured it back to health with patience, care and skill. They were efficient, polite and explained what they were doing and what it would cost every step of the way so that I could make an informed decision. The owner even took time out to draw me diagrams of the engine insides so that I would understand precisely what the issue might be and what my options were. And they weren’t expensive either. I’m back on the road and cannot praise them highly enough. So if you’re looking for a garage that treats you as they would their own family Wheels is the place to go.

Great service, quotes upfront, fast and value for money. Will definitely use them again.

I have been a customer for quite few years now.
The reason I have given only 8 stars is because the prices are a bit high and some times they forget to call you when the car is ready to collect... it could be only me but it happened few times now.
However, their service is brilliant, quality and care.

I have used Wheels for 6 years, moved out of the area and still come back to them.
I have to admit that Jo could cheer up a bit and it was an absolute pleasure when Graham was in charge but generally the work is top quality, the Mechanics are competent and trustworthy.
The receptionists are characters but they are consistent and do their jobs well.

I have been using wheels for many years now, the service is always accurate and in emergencies I'm always told to bring my car in with no hesitation, work is always fairly priced and I know if I had any issues ( which I haven't) it would be sorted !! The receptionists are lovely always smiling even when it's freeeezing cold in the office in winter, they are a credit to wheels and are so helpful.....

My reason for putting this message on was due to myself checking for wheels telephone number to book my car in AGAIN !!!!! Always exceptional service at reasonable prices

Well, to start off, I award Wheels 9 stars. It would have been 10 but I like to chat cars while my one is being seen to and its bloody cold in the MOT bay. Sadly Alex left, no reflection on his replacement but over the years (lost count of how many) I got to know him and found him efficient, fair and friendly. All the staff are but I had more dealings with Alex.

I spent the first few years of my working life training as a mechanic so I know a bit about what I am talking about. Wheels give a very thorough service. Yes you can get cheaper but how many cheap services will not only check your brake fluid levels (if they even do that) but also test its condition, boiling temperature etc. This is what you pay for, attention to detail. I would rather pay a bit more and know my car and family are safe.

The girls in reception have always been very pleasant to me and at Christmas time they have a tin of Quality Street out on the counter for customers (get them ready girls, I am in on Tuesday), a nice touch.

The reception area: Ok, I have seen better but I have seen much worse and after all it is a garage not a restaurant and when you see customers sitting digging their keys into the furniture you cant expect it to be wonderful. I am never there long enough to worry about that anyway.

To all potential customers of Wheels.

I have used the garage for various jobs on my car and found them very good. The time they take in fixing your car is exceptional in most cases as they have lots of Machanics at hand in the back. (sometimes you can even go to the yard to see them fix your car or have a chat which always proves beneficial, as if your asking the right questions you come out learning a bit more about cars).

Sometimes they can charge a wee bit too much but then again, if you tell them you've been quoted cheaper somewhere else they'll match it. But on this point you would have to be lucky or have a loyal customer rep with them.

Me personally found Alex a good face in there and Joe sometimes looks a bit down/tired but if you take the initiative to smile or make conversation he opens up like the heavens. Ahmet is a big giant who looks scary but when talked to is genuine guy.

This is a garage which is genuine or can be approached with no pre-thoughts of being knocked off as its well established and excepts their faults openly.

I think to make the reception better the carpets need a good clean. New Mats and maybe a new formal sofa.

i disagree with the last comment, as the lady who works for wheels mot has every right to stick up for the company she works for, also there is no need for anyone to post anything nasty on here, as it just shows that that particular person does not have the courage to go to the garage to complain, but rather commenting on here anonymously!

i have been coming to wheels mot for the last 10 years and have never had anything but efficient and polite service from ALL at wheels!

I think it's unfair for someone who works at Wheels to rate their company as 9 and thus bringing the average up. Your comment is not helpful, and the very purpose of these reviews is express our opinions of your service, whether good or bad. Perhaps the previous commentator should have fedback to you personally about his experience, but given your response I don't find it surprising he didn't.

dear anonymous i work for wheels mot centre and have done so for the past 4 years us receptionists are always courtious and polite in my opinion and the staff are very helpful also i would appreciate you actually speaking to us if you have a problem instead of broadcasting it publicly thank for you for your time.

I have been going to wheels for approx 3 years. Always found them courteous and friendly. Work is always good and never unnecessary. Ask for Alex for friendly personable service.

I visit to Wheels mot centre last 6 years. When Graham is incharge his service is really good. Now his son Jo is incharge. He is not helpfull and his service is really bad. Receptionist are very rude as well.
