Clemo Mg Rover

Clemo was recommended to me as experts with MG. Unfortunately I have found it to be the opposite. They are only as good or bad as your normal, general mechanic, 1 man back street garage, but charge main dealer prices, and never seem to get the job 100% right.

After my latest fiasco I've vowed never to go back. First they replaced my head gasket to fix a coolant loss (VERY expensive). It was still losing coolant within the guarantee period, so they replaced the radiator (all at my own cost of course, several hundreds of £££). Unfortunately, when the car was returned, the front bumper and grill was not aligned with the bonnet (looking really bad, I can't believe they missed it, I can only assume they hoped to get away with it), and it didn't open, so back it went. It's now come back to me, still doesn't open, and they've somehow managed to crack the front of the bonnet.

I'm hoping to contact them yet again to see if they can repair it (although I don't know what they will do about my cracked bonnet). Once it's all fixed I obviously won't be going back. I've never been completely satisfied, but put up with it. Not any longer though. I can only think they are living on past glories, but unfortunately my experiences mean I cannot recommend this garage to anyone. Stick with the normal guy around the corner. The mechanics will be better, and you'll save a fortune.

I can only speak for MG owners, but use them at your peril. My MGF is worse now than when it when in.
