I always go to JB Motors for my car's MOT. Each year I worry because my car is 12 years old. The mechanics never talk to me like i'm stupid because i'm a girl and the prices are fair. My car is always ready to pick up within an hour and a half. I'm going to have my services there too! (never had one before)

I would not reccomend this garage to anyone, my car was brought in by the AA with a split hose only 7 months after they replaced the part, when I rang before taking the car in I was told this would be done under warranty at no charge.
I arrived at the garage, the mechanic I spoke to called Wayne was rude and told me it was a problem with my car not their part, the AA man came in to explain his opinion which was a parts fault but they did not want to hear it. I left the car with them at their request. 2 Days later I had not been contacted so rang to find out the situation. They had ordered and fitted parts I did not request which I was expected to pay for despite knowing nothing about it and had not fitted the origional problem of the failed hose (although they told me this had been done, it later transpired it wasn't)
They then kept the car for a further day supposedly waiting for the origionally required hose to be delivered, despite telling me the day before it had already been fitted. I phoned and spoke to a manager and when I protested about different parts being ordered and fitted to my car I had not asked for they rather pettily removed them (rather than be reasonable, apologise and try to reach an arrangement) I am now having to pay out to have a privately hired low loader collect the undriveable car they have left standing on their yard so I can take it to a different garage. What a dissapointment with JB Autos, I am putting a complaint to trading standards.

I used to dread that time of year when I was due to take the car for it's annual service and MOT, because of experiences with garages who talked to me like a moron because I'm female and don't know how to put a car together. Since switching to JB Motors, I have no fear at all that I will either feel stupid or be ripped off. These guys are efficient, courteous, friendly (but not lecherous!) and couldn't be more helpful. And in 4 years so far I've never felt ripped off. Also, in between times if I've had any concerns about the car, I've been able to call them up and ask whether I can bring it in, which has always been possible in a timescale to suit me, and often they don't charge if it's just something small.
