Plume Tyre Service

I have been using this garage for many years and cannot recommend the staff and service high enough.They are forever helpfull and very hard working.I have specialised car and a standard car and I do not hesitate it any aspect for them to carry on with repairs as needed.I find thier prices very very reasonable and most of the time beat the competition flat!.For a fair MOT (THAT YOUR LIFE RELIES ON)and not shoddy back street 'earner mot' they cannot be beaten.
I recommend these guy's very highly.I find the last comment on this page regarding MOT almost derogatory,the chap obviously has no idea that when a car leaves its MOT test it can be failed on anything else on re-inspection as a 'new test'should be carried out again by law and not just a pervious failure sheet like 'the good old days'.

I have just had 4 tyres fitted - brilliant service and very helpful. Unlike others who i have used in the past they advised me against doing unnecesary work (even though they could have charged me £30 for it) - their prices are very competitive and I would recommend them every time

I would just like to say that I have used Plume for many years and have always found the staff to be pleasant and helpful at all times. The comment on the website about staff standing around smoking is unfair as they all work very hard and are entitled to breaks like everybody who has a job. No one can expect something for nothing so it is of no great surprise that not everyone will be happy that they have to fork out money for their repairs. If you were to tell the guys doing the M.O.T that you intend on doing the repairs upon a fail yourself then they would not waste time preparing quotes that are not doing to be used, also if the staff are treated with the respect that they deserve I am sure they would treat you the same.

I am new to the area and wanted my car M.O.T.d i was advised against going to this garage by my neighbours as they do not like you taking the car elsewhere to have any work done.. but i was prepared to give them the benefit of the doubt.
HOW WRONG WAS I ?
My car failed the M.O.T and they gave me a quote of between £100 and £300 pounds for the work? so i went elsewere, when i took it back with the work completed that was on the failure slip..THEY FAILED IT AGAIN,
The staff at this garage are rude and laid back, do care care about the business and just stand around smoking...NOT RECCOMMENDED...I DOUBT THIS REVIEW WILL MAKE IT ON THE SITE BUT IT'S WORTH A TRY. DO NOT USE THIS GARAGE.
