My VW Scirocco broke down last Sunday but I work at the local college so managed to get it to them to let the motor vehicle department have a look. There was a suspected issue with the injectors which they couldn't fix so rang the VW Centre who said to bring it down and they would have a look.
I dropped it off Monday lunch time and was told they would hopefully look at it that afternoon and ring me. They didn't, so I rang back to find out what was going on to be told they were busy and they would look at it the next day and ring me, they didn't so I rang back again to be told they were busy.
I then received a phone call from the boss who said I needed to collect my car as I keep ringing up and hassling his staff! I was very taken back by this as they told me they would ring me and didn't. After a brief conversation (and being told multiple times they were busy) he said he would look at it and let me know but this may take a few days.
They had my car over a week and I waited for their call (as I was now worried to ring them). I then received a phone call from the boss telling me they haven't had time to look at it and I need to pick it up and take it somewhere else! Obviously I was very annoyed at this point and had quite a heated conversation with the owner. I told him this was the worst customer service I had ever received when he became very threatening and told me 'not to bring my attitude when I collect my car!'
I collected my car this morning and was told by the boss that 'If I went to Tesco I wouldn't expect to go to the front of the queue' while calling me 'fella'! This man is the most unprofessional, rude, condescending person I have ever had the misfortune to meet.
Unfortunately the college had wiped the error codes, but had written them down on a piece of paper, which I gave to the garage when I dropped the car off. Even though the boss was not happy about this as he wanted 'live data'. When I collected the car and asked for this piece of paper so I could take it to another garage he told me he had 'put it in the bin'!
Do yourself a favour and don't take your car to this garage, the worst service I have ever received and will never go back!
