I once brought it in thinking I had an electrical fault and it turned out I'd had not one but 2 bulbs blow. They did not even charge me for my stupidity.
Unlike the other poster they rang me to agree work around changing a cam belt beforehand. I subsequently googled it and the risk is about the engine blowing up so I am glad they recommended it.

They should be ringing customers and ask if they want to do expensive works. I was quoted about 180 quid for a service but charged 235 quid. Their parts are very expensive and unnecessary. For an established garage they should get a fair deal. Also replacing engine oil, spark plugs, air filter and pollen filter shouldn't take 2 hours of labor.
