Spanner Monkey Garage

shambles , as they were a small business and not long set up and living just down the road to where i lived , i thought i would give them the benefit of the doubt , upon having my van serviced by spanner monkeys to which i was happy to pay , since having this done , the hydraulic pipe had been dislodged and was now rubbing on my auxciliary belt, needless to say it soon chewed my belt and burst my pipe ( more expense )
i called up jaye (proprietor) asking if he could sort , this was a challenge in itself ,
so eventually he picked up my van on outskirts of bridgwater and back to his workshop in bridgwater took of a pipe which i then went and got fixed and put pipe back on in all i would say around an hour labour tops , this is the bit that gets me , he then proceeded to charge me £160.00 for his services and and then tried to charge
£70.00 to change belt , this belt retails at £11.00 and fitting costs are £15.00 as the job takes no more than 10 minutes to fit , that is a bollock busting £44.00 for ten minutes work , will not be using spanner monkeys again nor would i even take my boys tonka car there , the warnings are in the name, jeff

I needed some MOT work on my car. As a female I felt another local garage had quoted me a large amount. I found this newly opened garage on a face-book page. I found Jaye to be so helpful and she quoted almost half of previous quote! The work was of a high standard and I am very pleased.
