Experience of excellent crash resistence of Bora V6 4Motion body shell on 30 MPH frontal impact accident centrally into corner of solid wall. Front air bags deployed no serious or lasting injuries to driver in fact car can be repaired, many of front replaceable cross-members are made of compressed fibre and collapsed perfectly to reduce impact loads. 2nd V6 4Motion 204hp now purchased but has what appears to be a known ESP fault which incidentally affects several VW ranges. Unit can be rebuilt and is not an MoT failure though as system can be switched off. Fantastic performance and handling in this guise but uses overpriced juice (petrol) very heavily if throttle is continually floored. Good quality Highline leather seats heated for driver and paasenger hold both comfortably. Very large boot and well apointed interior aids comfort and feeling of security. Another Bora tdi in family also performs well and is very economic and in the variousversions avaialable represents good value motoring with appropriate performance dependent on version up to 150hp, best buy is probably a 115 hp tdi or perhaps 130 hp tdi. But all are good secondhand family cars with something extra for those that want it.
