Hi Thank you, First off I love my little 1007 and second I don't think the problem I have had is just affecting peugeot but possibly other makes of car. I think it's possibly an engine part design fault for the 1400 deisel 2006. I have only done 17500 miles. I gather the injector seals are a problem and once they fail I know all the engine fumes come up the inj port into the car.At first I thought it was an exhaust blow but the fumes were so bad from the one injector affected I took it staight to my dealer. They did all the injectors to make it safe as the fumes are lethal. I asked at other garages and yes, theyknew the problem. The fumes go black and hard on the engine. I do have a good relationship with my garage, but they still had to charge me £600 and I am 68 and my husband died 4yrs ago. We were in the motor trade and I do know the problems, both with running a business and the trade itself. My worry is that the fumes are toxic and someone will poss die. Has anyone else had this problem and what is happening with the design. I do like my car, we got it when my husband was so ill with his cancer and couldn't get down into my BMW and the doors would slide shut for him(although I would imagine eventually I may have a problem with them. I have been driving since 1964 and held an HGV3 and knew how to sevice my MINI. The problems with that taught me to expect and deal with trouble.Problem is we can't deal with our problems the way cars are designed now.Helen
